“With 70% of Used Car Dealers Caught in Outright Scams, Which of these Used Car Scams Exposed by Insider Experts are you in Danger of Falling Into?”Dear Used Car Buyer, 3 Shocking Facts!Did you know… 1. An
estimated 95%
of used car dealers actually lie about cars’
features to get your business! Do you know when
they’re lying?
2. The average used car dealer uses a particular legal loophole to screw you and avoid being prosecuted by law. Do you know that loophole? 3. The President of APA (The Automobile Protection Agency), George Iny, himself, has the following to say about buying a used car
“The
market can’t
be trusted.”
“Better have a lot of luck!” You don't have to take my word for it, watch this video. Are you too trusting of the market? Are you counting on mere luck when buying a used car? I was... I was that poor schmuck that can’t distinguish between a lying used car salesman and the rare honest one. I was that poor schmuck that naively hopes the law will be on his side. I was that poor schmuck that goes to buy a used car unprepared, naively trusting a market eager to bleed him of every dollar it can. I was that poor schmuck that goes to buy a used car relying only on his luck and a prayer. Well..no more. Don’t get ripped off! Be prepared! As you read every word of this article you will discover hidden car scams that will boggle your mind, and by the time you finish reading this article, you will know how to consistently discover hidden problems of any car you inspect. But before we get into the meat and potatoes you need to understand what goes on in this industry. The best way to do this is tell you a story of my friend Steve the mechanic. Brace yourself, it will shock you. It all started with a call...I called up a friend of mine, Steve, a mechanic, and boy was he angry! His sister-in-law just got scammed with a car she bought. She has a newly born child and needed a car with a working A/C ASAP. She was an easy sell, the salesman showed her the typical 4 door sedan with ice cold A/C and she bought it and scheduled it for a pick up. It needed a new set of tires on the front, so she paid the salesman the extra amount to put some new tires on. Didn’t even get home...When she picked up the car, she didn’t even get home before her A/C STOPPED working! She was enraged and drove straight to Steve. He took a look at the car, and told her not only was the A/C not working, but she had a power steering fluid leek and those new tires she paid for... Arent’ new! They put the front tires on the back and vice versa! Round 1, The gloves come off and Steve ...!Needless to say Steve was pissed and headed to the dealer to speak to the salesman who sold her the car. The salesman said the A/C was working when she drove off the lot! He then mentioned about the tires she PAID for and that there was no new tires! The salesmen didn’t care to do anything about it. After a lot of fuss and going back and forth, Steve calls the MTO, Ministry of Transportation, and complains ... Dealer grows rabbit ears...Well after calling the MTO, the dealer started to listen, they fixed the ac, put on new tires like she had paid for, and fixed the powers steering leak! Why does it have to be so tuff? Why does it have to include all the drama? And What do you do, if your brother-in –law is not a mechanic? Steve thumbs his nose at you!Well when I heard this I was peaved, but not as peaved as I am now after speaking to Steve! I had a discussion with Steve, “This is going on every day. You know and see what’s going on in the industry. Let’s inform consumers so they don’t get taken for a ride.”, I said. “Well what do you suggest we do?” said Steve. “I will bring my video camera, you can not only tell everyone what’s going on in the used car industry, but you can SHOW them how to inspect that car. People can see what to look for, and what to do to expose any hidden faults that dealer may be hiding!”, I responded. “NO! I can’t do that!” he said. “Well, why? Why not? Don’t you know what’s going on, don’t you see it?” I said “Sure I do, I work with Used Car Dealers all the time” Steve said. “So what’s the problem?” I told him. “I’m known in the industry here, if I go on camera or have you quoting me I will lose business. Used car dealers are my repeat customer base. Word will get around.” Steve replied. “Didn’t the one dealer try to scam your sister-in-law?” I asked. “Sure, but I put him in his place.” He said. “Well, how about the others, everyone else?” I questioned. Steve bites the dust...Steve wasn’t interested in helping anyone out but himself and his next of kin. He speaks in a derogatory and condescending way about Used Car Dealers but the reality is he is no different. He is their accomplice who fuels them and carries out there patch work himself. Needless to say, I don’t look at Steve the same way. Still got trouble...I know how it feels to get scammed I’ve been there one to many times to have Steve’s attitude. My very first car was a jet black 1989 Acura Integra, tinted windows, specialized rims, I was in love. I was also that poor schmuck excited to have a nice set of wheels until a month later when I realized that it was a money-sucking, headache inducing, nightmare with a steering wheel! How do you know you need a Head Gasket? Hopefully not the way I did! I wish I knew the answer to that before I bought that Acura, a month didn’t pass by before I realized my acura was drinking more than a drunken sailor. I took it in for a diagnoses: A top engine rebuild! By the time the summer hit that ice cold A/C was no longer cold. I guess I should have known that used car dealers love to recharge the A/C system with a new can of Freon. After all it’s the first thing we check, and if the leak isn’t too serious you won’t know until you take it off the lot, whether that be tomorrow or the month or two after. From Jet Black Acura cruising the freeway to White Cloud floating on the roadway!It didn’t take very long when I noticed white smoke blowing outside my tailpipe. You mean that wasn’t because it was cold outside like the dealer mentioned? I soon was to become the cool dude with the the jet black integra to the fool floating around like a cloud. Mission Impossible...After being rejected by Steve I was adamant about getting some insider experts to SHOW us what to be looking for, when inspecting that car. It was very hard to get a mechanic who has had experience working with these car dealers to admit and inform the consumer what was going on, let alone show us on video tape. After speaking to expert after expert, and going from one city to another I finally was able to speak to enough experts in the field, to not only paint a picture but get the goods. I meet the King of the Jungle...I met a guy named Leonard, they call him Leonard the Lion, because he makes used car dealers his prey. He is the one everyone who knows him takes their car to before buying. He can sniff out a rat from any car. I took Leonard to a few used car dealers and we picked out some cars to take for a test drive and inspect in an open parking lot. I had Leodard do 2 complete inspections of two different cars we picked up at the dealer. You will watch him sift through those cars like a fine toothed comb and see exactly what you need to be checking for, how to check for them and what things should and shouldn’t look like. In the following clip, Leonard finds that this Toyota has an issue with the engine the used car dealer tried to hide: Professor Jim Miles...Professor Jim Miles was another expert I was able to meet in my quest to stop consumers from being scammed. The car history report is great but collisions are not always reported on the car history report, and you can’t count on dealers disclosing them for you. Professor of Autobody at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Jim shows us what is commonly called “spotting”. What we need to be looking for to spot if a vehicle has been in a wreck and subsequently repaired. The following is a clip of one of the telltale signs that a vehicle has been in a major accident requiring major work. Service Manager Ready to Talk...Then I met Asif Mandozai in the greater Toronto area, a former service manager of a national U.S chain whose majority of customers were used car dealers! I sat with Asif Mandozai and he reveals shocking revelations of what goes on! What is done, and how people get scammed, and how you can avoid it, the inside scoop. The one-eyed mechanic...In these videos you will be shown and discover the answers to the following questions;
